ART CLASSES with Kirsty Lorenz
Her popular workshops take place in Kirsty's unusual and inspiring studio on Platform 2 of Ladybank Station in the rural Howe of Fife. Kirsty studied Art and Art History at Goldsmiths College, London University '89-'92. She has delivered workshops for the Royal Botanics of Edinburgh, Artlink-Edinburgh, various councils and art societies. She exhibits her work widely in the UK and abroad and her work is held in both public and private collections.
All her workshops include provision high quality artist materials and equipment, and homebaking!
Numbers of participants are usually kept to a maximum of 6 , ensuring plenty of space to work, and focused tuition.
Workshops are structured to support the development of both absolute beginners and more experienced painters. Workshops must be booked in advance. Gift vouchers are available.
Specially devised workshops for groups can be arranged in the following: Drawing (including a wide range of materials from charcoals, pastels and pencils), Colour Workshop (theory and practice), Flower Painting, Acrylic Painting, Mixed Media (including collage, pens, pencils,pastels, watercolour, acrylic). Saturday 25th February, 10.30am-4pm at the Artist Studio, Platform 2, Ladybank Railway Station, Ladybank, Fife. Price £42.50 inc. materials and cake!
Be inspired by art,by flowers,by paint,by colour! We will look at different approaches to flower portrayal through art history, you will be introduced to acrylic painting techniques and colour mixing.Through expert structured tuition you will create your own flower portrait. You will use the artists projector to outline your composition ( a modern day equivalent to the pinhole camera) so dont worry if drawing isn't your strong point. Artist quality materials and equipment supplied and high quality cake included! All experience levels welcome - maximum of 7 participants.
Thursdays, 11am-1pm, Thursdays, 11am-1pm, at the Artist Studio, Platform 2, Ladybank Railway Station, Ladybank, Fife. Price £12 per week (materials not included).

Booking and Payment
Places must be booked and paid for in advance. Please contact the artist to book a place or with any questions.
There is a minimum of 3 participants per workshop, if less than 3 people are booked for a workshop it may be cancelled and you may attend a future workshop or get a refund. If you need to cancel a booking please do so at least 2 weeks before a workshop date in order to get a refund.
Logistics
The artists studio is in the 'Old First First Aid Rooms', just down from the Ticket Office on Platform 2 of Ladybank Station - this is on the Edinburgh-Dundee and Perth Circle Lines. The Studio opening/closing times can be adapted for those arriving or departing by trains. Train times available from www.travelline.co.uk. There is ample car parking in and around the station.
