Chinese Peonies

The artist recieved an award in 2006 from The Hope Scott Trust to fund a trip to Germany to visit the flowers painted below. These Peonii Rockii are a beautiful breed of peony imported from China by a specialist nursery near Constance, Germany. These beautiful blousey peonies flower for only two weeks each year in May.
