My paintings of posies of wild flowers I made (and left) in Balmerino Woods in springtime are currently, and aptly, in the ‘Spring Exhibition’ at Tolquhoun Gallery near Aberdeen. Set in beautiful rural surroundings many of the flowers that I painted will soon also be found in local woodlands to the gallery. Flowers include Hawthorne Blossom, Flowering Currant, Dead Nettle, Celandine, Wood Anemone and Spurge. The exhibition runs until 30th April 2019.
There is more information about my Balmerino ‘Votive Offerings’ here.
